INFORMATION
The association is committed to disseminate correct and accurate information, in order to counteract to general information which is often incorrect or deliberately false, especially at the cost of individuals or groups, who profess forms of beliefs and practices other than those of the majority

STUDY
The association is committed to study, with the help of qualified Research Centers and Universities, the various forms of groups as defined above, in order to improve the scientific level of knowledge of these realities. Scientific knowledge is indispensable for the prevention of and the contrast to various forms of discrimination and labeling that occur against both, religious, and non-religious minorities alike.
AWARENESS PROJECT
“Awareness” Project is dedicated to the study of religious and spiritual minorities in Italy and elsewhere. LIREC organizes conferences and debates on religious minorities in order to promote their knowledge among general public, media and academic world. The Project launches a series of events to promote the awareness of the various religious and spiritual minorities which, far from being dangerous groups, as a certain propaganda want to make us believe, can also be socially, culturally and economically resourceful to our society.

The association is commited to work actively with institutions, the media and any accountable authority or organization, to defend, by all means, that the democratic society provides citizens the rights of minorities as enshrined in the Italian Constitution.

LIREC participated in the first "Peace Talks" webinar of the series organized by UPF-Italy (with the collaboration of the Women’s Federation for World Peace-Italy). The main theme of the meeting was "The Role of Faith and Spirituality in the Time of the Coronavirus."
On the 18th of June 2019 Global Human Rights Defence (GHRD), in collaboration with LiREC, held a press conference at the Press room of the Italian Parliament in Rome, concerning the human rights violations faced by women belonging to religious minorities in Pakistan.
On March 5, 2019 the Center for Studies on Freedom of Religion, Belief and Conscience (LIREC) organizes the panel n. 61 at the Annual Conference of the European Academy or Religion. TITLE: Yoga as a way of spirituality, source of well-being and social cohesion, from the East to the West.
The Study Center on Freedom of Religion and Belief (LIREC), as part of its Awareness Project organizes the conference The movements of human potential. Pathways and paths for personal development in secularized society.
Rome, Italy—The beautiful and historic Sala Zuccari was the setting of a UPF celebration of the 2018 UN International Day of Peace. LIREC participated in the conference organized by UPF, titled “The Right to Peace: Italy Bridge of Peace for a Stronger and Stable Europe.”
The Center For Studies LIREC will partecipate to the Jalsa Salana, the Annual Conference of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Community UK. It is a unique three-day event that brings together more than 35,000 participants from over ninety countries.
The Center for Studies LIREC will partecipate in the Interreligious Leadership Conference sponsored by the Universal Peace Federation, in Vienna, on the theme “Toward Interdependence and Mutual Prosperity: The Role of Religious Leaders and Parliamentarians”.

CESNUR and LIREC, in cooperation with MP Luigi Lacquaniti organize, at the House of Parliament, a press conference on: RELIGIOUS FREEDOM VIOLATIONS IN CHINA. A case study of persecution against Christian minorities.
This seminar, organized in co-operation with MP Lacquaniti, will discuss the problems of religious liberty in Russia, a cause of serious concern in Europe. A case in point is the recent "liquidation" of the Jehovah's Witness. In the meantime, Russian authorities have moved against other religious and spiritual movements, with the same accusations of "extremism".
