GENERAL OBJECTIVES

The Center for Studies on Freedom of Religion, Belief and Conscience [LIREC] is the result of a project of a few people, who, for years, have been committed to various kinds of activism and studies to the cause of defending freedoms. It promotes activities aimed at knowledge and authentic information on different forms of groups which are in any way related to a particular choice of philosophy, religion and spirituality, which could be characterized as “alternative” or “minority” within the social context in which they have emerged and evolve.

OBJECTIVES

The monitoring, study and research aimed at the knowledge of both, the various forms of groups, within the context of spirituality, religion or philosophy, and experiences based on non-belief and agnosticism, spread throughout Italy and Europe;
Advancement of any suitable activity to substantially implement the principles enshrined in the Constitution of the Italian Republic and in the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, which recognizes the Freedom of Thought, Conscience and Religion as inviolable law without discrimination;
Support, fulfillment and implementation of the aims of FoRB in Italy and Europe;
The promotion of suitable strategies for interreligious dialogue and peaceful coexistence between individuals and communities which are inspired by diversified beliefs and philosophies, in order to safeguard the health of the secular society, where the values of equality are higher than the differences between the subjects of which it is composed (see Art. 2 of the Statute).
