Raffaella Di Marzio
From 3rd to 5th August it took place, in Aton (Hampshire) at around 50 kilometers from London, Jalsa Salana, the international gathering of Ahmadiyya Muslim Jama'at.
Prof. Raffaella Di Marzio (Director of The Center for Studies on Freedom of Religion Belief and Conscience - LIREC), Dr. Manuel Olivares, author and publisher (www.viverealtrimenti.com), Father Justo Lacunza Balda (Rector Emeritus of PISAI) and Dr. Rossella Fabiani (journalist and orientalist) attended the event as Italian delegation.
The 5th of August the delegation has been received by His Holiness Mirza Masroor Ahmad, international leader of the Community to whom the delegates have addressed the following words.
Greetings from the Italian Delegation to the Caliph Mirza Masroor Ahmad, Head of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim Community
August 5th 2018
Thank you, Your Holiness for the kind and generous invitation to attend this year’s Jalsa UK which is an international convention.
These are times of dialogue, encounter and understanding among religions, cultures and civilizations across the world.
The Ahmadiyya Community can contribute a great deal in terms of dialogue among Muslims, no matter how difficult and hard it can be. There is a need of understanding among Muslims in the world and all means have to be used.
The means of communication have to be used to make the world know your projects, programmes and above all the spirit of service with which you do things.
This overflow of goodness and goodwill will be of great advantage to everyone who profits from your vision of life and humanity. Because your way of doing things is already reaching countries, peoples and societies in Asia, Africa, Europe and the Americas.
We could not agree more with your words of this year's address in the form of a fundamental principle: “Choose for your brother what you want for yourself”.
Thank you.
